Fair questions
Is it really anonymous?
There's no account, so we never know your name, email or phone number. A nickname is just a pseudonym — we remember it on your device so you don't retype it, and you can erase it with one tap.
One honest caveat: conversations are stored for a short time so moderators can review reports, then deleted. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
Is it free?
Yes — completely. No subscriptions, no coins, no "premium matches".
Can I share photos?
Not in a conversation — messages are text only, on purpose. You can set a profile picture if you want one, and a moderator reviews it before anyone else can see it.
What happens if someone is being creepy?
Tap Report, pick a reason, and the conversation ends immediately. A human moderator reviews the log and bans people who break the rules. You can also Block someone so you're never matched again.
Why 18+?
Anonymous conversation with random people isn't a place for minors. You'll confirm your age before entering the chat, and sessions that misrepresent it are closed.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser, on your phone or laptop. Open 3am.chat/chat and you're in.
